When you think of a breast augmentation, some people automatically think of very large, voluminous breasts.  While you can achieve that, there are many women walking around who have had a breast augmentation and you would never know because they look so natural.  This procedure is one of the most gratifying procedures and is the most requested procedure by women today! Not only does it increase the volume and fullness of your breasts, it can also enhance your self-image and confidence!

Silicone gel or saline implants are typically placed under the muscle through an incision which is well-hidden in an area like the breast fold, under the areola or in your under arm. This procedure can take about an hour to an hour and a half under general anesthesia (you are asleep). Over the next several weeks, continue to follow your post-op instructions and you should notice your swelling resolving, your implants dropping, your breasts softening and looking more and more like the breasts you envisioned.  There are activity restrictions that your surgeon will discuss with you but you can typically return to most, if not all, of your normal activity within 4-6 weeks or sooner depending on how you heal.  Be sure to see a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, like Dr. Champion, for your consultation to learn if you are a good candidate for this procedure!
