Liposuction Procedure
No matter how much we diet and exercise, many women retain undesired, stubborn fat on specific areas of their body causing them to feel unhappy with their appearance in a bathing suit or some clothing. Liposuction is extremely popular and safely and effectively removes fat to improve your body contour with little to no scarring. Many women combine it with other procedures such as a tummy tuck to achieve the most optimal result. Popular areas of liposuction include:

There is little to no scarring with Liposuction as the incisions from the cannula are small and inconspicuous and tend to heal very well. We recommend keeping them covered or out of the sun and using scar gel for 6 months to a year. Once swelling resolves, you will see your improved body contour, which typically continues to improve over time. While liposuction is a permanent procedure, changes may occur over time due to aging or weight fluctuations so it is important to maintain healthy habits. For safety reasons, it may not be possible to achieve optimal results with a single surgical procedure and another surgery may be necessary.

- Bruising/Swelling

Who is a Candidate for Liposuction
Liposuction results are best in individuals who have healthy habits, such as a proper diet and exercise, and is not a treatment for weight loss. It is also not a treatment for cellulite (dimpled skin), or loose/saggy skin which typically appears on thighs/hips and buttocks. Best results are achieved on patients who have areas of stubborn fat and have firm, elastic skin with good muscle tone.
Recovery
For a few months after surgery, you will wear a compression garment or elastic bandages over your treatment areas to help control swelling and compress the skin to your new body contours. If you experience bruising, it is minimal and typically resolves after a couple weeks. It may take several months for the swelling to fully resolve but as it does, you will see your new slim body contour and many women/men feel their confidence grow.
