A mommy makeover is a combination of appropriate procedures for each individual patient, typically completed in one setting, designed to help women get their pre-baby body back. Dr. Champion understands that post-pregnancy, women sacrifice so much for our children and families, but we also experience many changes to our bodies as well as hormonal changes that can aesthetically affect our weight, skin quality, hair and our overall feeling of well-being. Dr. Champion’s goal is to help you regain yourself through this process by listening to your concerns, understanding your personal goals and helping to reach them by restoring your body. Typical areas of concern are breasts, tummy/waist but can be customized to address any area that has been affected such as your back and thighs. A mommy makeover can be any combination of several procedures such as:

- Liposuction
- Fat Transfer
- Tummy Tuck

Who is a Candidate for a Mommy Makeover
The best candidate for a mommy makeover are women who have decided they are finished having children, are healthy & active, at a stable weight that can be maintained and experiencing symptoms such as breast asymmetry, deflated breasts, excess skin/fat around your tummy or stubborn areas of fat.
It is important that you have a positive outlook with family support, realistic expectations of your recovery and results and have the necessary time to heal.
Recovery
As with any surgery, you may experience some swelling and bruising which will subside over a few weeks. Wearing your compression garment and sports bra will help minimize swelling and provide support where needed. Because a mommy makeover is highly customized by Dr. Champion, your healing time can range from 6-8 weeks to 12 weeks, depending on the performed procedures. Dr. Champion and her team understand that surgery is emotional. It requires patience and trust in your surgeon while understanding the process. Dr. Champion and her team will help you with any questions and concerns that may arise during your recovery.
